Ray Armitage is a Certified Financial Planner who has been part of the banking and financial planning industry for over 25 years. His professional life began with the ANZ Bank, in 1979, where he rose to a management role in the ANZ Funds Management Division. This was his last position with ANZ before joining Lonsdale Limited, a national financial services organisation, in 1991. 

Ray was responsible for various senior roles with Lonsdale Limited including recruitment and leadership, business development, marketing and software development. This firm became one of the largest wholesale and retail financial planning businesses in Australia, and was sold to Zurich Financial Services in 1998. 

Ray then formed a boutique financial services provider, Armitage Group Pty Ltd, which provided financial planning support to the clients of a significant number of accounting firms and business associations in Queensland. This business was ultimately taken over by AXA in 2004 and Ray has continued coaching private clients through his new financial planning business, Cardwell Group Pty Ltd.
