Success Story #2
|
|
Part-time Work Leads to a Better Lifestyle.
This success story comes from Michael who lives in Edmonton in
Canada:-
David,
Here is the story of how I quit my full time job as a photo lab tech for part
time work delivering
newspapers. As well, since I started delivering
6 months ago I have lost almost 20lbs (9 kg). I did
this to be a stay at home dad.
Now I work 25 hours a week and make more
money than my 40hr full time job. On top of
that I can spend lots of time with my 3 year old.
A fantastic summer indeed as we make more money
and I am able to spend time at home with my son
and also take care of house responsibilities. Also my
wife just quit her full time job and is going back to
school.
Because of my work we are able to afford this. She
will apply for work part time. We have a renter
downstairs that helps us out.
(Most houses in Canada have a basement room)
I think this proves that there are ways around
traditional work. I think it is just a matter of thinking
outside the box.
I found the add for the work in our local newspaper.
There was no start up cost - I use my current vehicle.
We won't be able to survive on my income alone
while my wife attends school - thus she will look for
part time work.
What I recommend others to look for is a newspaper
route in which you can deliver the same area for more
than one carrier.
Currently I have 3 routes.
Because I deliver for more than one newspaper
company in a combination of box and residential
I am able to make this work. Otherwise to do one
route for one carrier would not be enough to make all this work.
I work on average 25-30 hrs a week (this is a high
estimate) and make more than I did full time even
after fuel expenses.
Regards
Michael
I reckon that's a great success story. We can all draw some inspiration
from reading how others have changed their lives
for the better.
